No — we don't provide breakfast. Every room has a kitchenette (kettle, toaster, microwave, tea & coffee), and you're a two-minute walk from cafés and bakeries in town.
We do — including a dedicated accessible room with step-free entry, a disabled-access shower, hand rails and a shower chair. Just let us know your needs when booking.
Sorry, no — we are unable to accommodate pets. Assistance animals are welcome; please mention this when you book.
Yes — two family room types, each sleeping up to four: one with two queen beds, and one with a double plus two single beds. Both have a kitchenette.
Yes — free, on-site parking for all guests. Park once and leave the car; town, the lake and the beaches are all within an easy walk.
Check-in is from 2pm to 8pm and check-out is by 10am. Reception is open 9am–6pm, with an after-hours phone line if you are arriving late.
Merimbula Airport is just 5 km away, with REX flights from Sydney and Melbourne. We are a short, easy drive or transfer from the terminal.
Your stay is prepaid at the time of booking, and no-shows are charged in full. If your plans change, please get in touch with us directly as early as you can.
Yes — the guest checking in must be at least 18 years old and present valid government-issued photo ID on arrival.
We're not able to provide cots or extra beds. Our family rooms sleep up to four, so please choose the room with the bedding that suits your group.
Yes — this is the same motel, under new management and a new name. We were the Comfort Inn and we are now the Merimbula Sapphire Motel, at the same address: 36A Merimbula Drive, Merimbula NSW 2548. If you booked under the old name, your booking is with us.
Yes — there is an outdoor pool and a barbecue area for guests, with an outdoor terrace and seating alongside it. It is open-air and unheated, so it is at its best in the warmer months.
No — there is no restaurant or bar at the motel, and we don't serve meals. Every room has a kitchenette if you would rather self-cater, and Merimbula's cafés, pubs and restaurants are about a two-minute walk away in town.

Yes — WiFi is free for all guests, in every room, with no time limit and no charge.
Yes — the King Room with Spa Bath has a private spa bath along with a king bed and a balcony. It is our most-requested room, so it is worth booking ahead.
Some do. Several rooms have a private balcony, and a number look out over Merimbula Lake and the town; others face the garden or courtyard. If the outlook matters to you, tell us when you book and we will do what we can.
Yes — every room has reverse-cycle air conditioning that heats as well as cools, and electric blankets on the beds for the colder months.
Yes — all rooms and indoor areas are strictly non-smoking.
Please call us on 02 6495 3077 before you arrive and we will arrange after-hours access. Reception is open 9am–6pm and there is an after-hours phone line, but late arrivals go much more smoothly if we know in advance.
Merimbula town centre is about a two-minute walk, and Merimbula Lake about five minutes on foot. The beaches are a short drive. With free on-site parking you can leave the car and walk for most of your stay.
Merimbula is roughly 460 km from Sydney (about six hours drive), around 230 km from Canberra (about three hours) and about 570 km from Melbourne (about seven hours). REX flies into Merimbula Airport, 5 km away, from Sydney and Melbourne.
